Bada Shringhar Vesha

Bada Shringhar Vesha by Sridhar Nayak depicts the sacred ceremonial adornment of the Jagannath trinity : Jagannath, Balabhadra, and Subhadra  as witnessed in the rituals of the Puri temple. The three deities are shown in full regalia beneath an ornate canopy, flanked by narrative panels from the Dashavatara. Painted on handmade cloth canvas with colors derived from stone, minerals, and natural substances, every contour and ornamental detail is rendered by hand in the classical Pattachitra tradition of Raghurajpur, Odisha.
